Danielle is the creator and co-owner of Body Solace Studio.
Danielle teaches with an emphasis on finding ease and calm amongst challenge. With a history of struggling with anorexia and the occurrence of a traumatic accident in 2014, Danielle credits yoga for a large portion of her recovery and brings her understanding of mental and physical resilience and self-compassion to each of her classes. Danielle will challenge you to push yourself while simultaneously learning to be mindful of what your body and mind need at each moment. Her classes are themed to stimulate both your body and mind and always come with a great music playlist to match.
Danielle received her 200-hr yoga teacher training at Strala Yoga with Tara Stiles and Michael Taylor and is currently completing her 500-hour teacher training at Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio (TAYS) with Michael and Maxine Munro. Aside from her yoga teacher trainings, she has completed a Fitness Instructor Specialist certification and Personal Training Specialist certification through CanFitPro with Nikki Peck and Christine Somerville, a Level II BUTI Yoga Instructor certification at Pure Yoga NYC with Bizzie Gold and Tara Winterhalter, and a Pilates Mat Instructor certification at Studio In Essence with Christy Sanford.
Danielle also has training in physical assisting and Yin/Restorative/Recuperative Yoga through TAYS, and girl’s self-esteem coaching through the CASE Institute.
Lorraine is the co-owner of Body Solace Studio.
Years ago, Lorraine began experiencing stomach and digestive issues, adult acne, rashes, and increased fatigue. She was frustrated with the lack of results from diets, creams, and pills, and didn’t want to be on harsh medication. This led her to start researching holistic nutrition to help her body heal naturally by eating wholesome foods, and her research and personal results turned into a passion. She is currently studying to become a Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach and is excited to offer her education to the services at Body Solace Studio. Lorraine also has training in aromatherapy, which she uses for creating natural body care products.
Lorraine received her Pilates Mat Instructor certification at Studio in Essence with Christy Sanford and is currently enrolled in a Holistic Nutrition and Health Coaching certification through Nutraphoria.
Lorraine brings creativity and enthusiasm to all of her classes. Lorraine will help you rediscover your balance and deep internal muscles; she will guide you to be mindful of what you’re putting into and onto your body to help you feel your best.
Celeste has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and continues to remain a lifelong student of yoga both on and off the mat, most notably with her recent trip to India.
Under the guidance of skillful teachers, Celeste received her 200-hour yoga certification through YogaFit Canada, the largest yoga school in North America. She is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance and continues her yoga teacher training path.
A firm believer in the healing benefits of yoga and the power we have to heal ourselves, Celeste completed her 40-hour teacher training in Montreal earning her certification in Restorative Yoga Training and has been offering this healing practice for the past four years. Most recently, Celeste has completed her 100-hour Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher training and is looking forward to offering Trauma-Sensitive Yoga programs in the very near future.
Celeste teaches from the heart and strives to connect with each student by encouraging each individual to honor their bodies and limits in the class. She holds space for her students to allow for healing, laughter, personal insight and individual practice.
Knickolle is a 500 hr Certified Teacher in Yoga Therapy, Certified Overcome Anxiety Clinic Facilitator and Certified in Trauma-Informed teaching as well. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and stress reduction offering group sessions both publicly and privately, private sessions and facilitating workshops in Stress Reduction, Sleep Improvement, and Relaxation & Self Empowerment. She hosts retreats and special events and has been the keynote speaker at several events.
Knickolle has been practicing Yoga for over 17 years. First drawn to Yoga to help her stay healthy and strong during her first pregnancy, seeing it as a gentle form of exercise, she found so much more… reduced anxiety, decreased stress levels, improved sleep, and a general overall feeling of well-being that inspired her to continue her practice and study.
She is trained in Integrative Yoga Therapy with Joseph Lepage and Lillian Lepage, Genevieve Yellin, Maria Mendola, Jessica Byron, Beth Gibbs, and Jennifer Reis. She also follows other therapeutic teachers including Doug Keller and Dr. Timothy McCall. She has trained in Yin Yoga with Biff Mitteoffer, Ashtanga Yoga with Manju Pattabhi Jois, and Iyengar Yoga with Father Joe Pereira as well as many others including Shiva Rea, Todd Norian and Eoin Finn and will forever be a student of Yoga.
Susan has been leading yoga classes since her graduation from 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training in the spring of 2015. Her passion is to help students uncover their “Guru within.” While the asana practice is at the core of her offering, Susan encourages her students to notice how they are “living yoga” on and off the mat.
Susan is a student of Anodea Judith, founder of Sacred Centers, a comprehensive educational program for healing and awakening mind, body and spirit. She is working on her Co-Heart Certification and has recently completed the Chakra Yoga Teacher Training. She believes that we can use our chakra system and related transformational techniques to heal ourselves, each other and the world around us.
Susan brings mindfulness to each class, challenging her students to ground down through our roots to rise up to our divine being.
Kristina found Yoga, meditation, and Sudarshan Kriya in her late teens; a lasting, transformative and affirming discovery that would weave in and out of her life until grabbing hold during her mid-20s, after completing her 200hr teacher training in Western Canada.
Kristina is a 200hr certified Yoga therapy and Suspension Yoga teacher. Her teaching philosophy is to honor what your mind, body, and spirit need, and she strives to encourage her students to feel supported and empowered by offering a wide range of modifications for every class and every ability.
